What is PreLoved Pitaras?
Preloved Pitara is a curated online marketplace where style meets sustainability, connecting buyers and sellers of gently used fashion and lifestyle products. We make smart shopping simple while giving every piece a meaningful second life.
Do you have a physical store?
Currently, PreLoved Pitaras operates exclusively online, allowing us to connect buyers and sellers across locations through our curated digital platform.
Are all items authentic?
Yes. Every item listed on PreLoved Pitaras undergoes a thorough authentication and quality check to ensure it meets our standards of originality, condition, and usability before being approved for sale.

SELLING

How can I sell my gently used clothing, footwear and fashion accessories?
Selling with us is effortless. We offer a complete, end to end closet curation service so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Simply send us your items and we take care of everything-from quality checks and listing to packaging and delivery to the final buyer. Just register yourself at www.prelovedpitaras.com and follow the steps rest our team will co-ordinate with you.
What kind of pieces do you accept?
We accept all types of fashion wearables (Branded/ customised) in reasonably good condition, including clothing, jewellery, sunglasses, shoes, shawls, and stoles. You are welcome to send multiple pieces—the more you share, the better.
To maintain our quality standards, all items must be:
  • Free from tears, stains, fading, pilling, or visible signs of wear
  • Free from manufacturing or material defects
  • Carefully inspected prior to dispatch

Items We Are Unable to Accept

  • Undergarments of any kind
  • Home décor, toys, books, or non-fashion items
  • Damaged, worn-out, or altered pieces
  • Uniforms or corporate/institutional apparel (excluding standard sports jerseys)

Please note that sending unsellable items may result in a reduced payout, as it leads to increased logistics costs and unnecessary environmental impact due to additional packaging and shipping weight.

How do I send you my pieces for sale?
Start by registering on our seller panel and uploading your products with the required images. Our team will review and handpick the pieces we love. Once your products are approved. We’ll share the courier details. Just pack them with care and send them to the address provided.
How are preloved sale prices set?
The pricing of each preloved item is decided by the owner of the product. Sellers are free to set their own prices based on factors such as the brand, original purchase price, condition, and current market value. Our team may review the pricing to ensure it aligns with platform guidelines and offers fair value to buyers.
How much money will I receive after the sale of pieces? How and when will I receive the payment?
The required information will be shared after successful registration. Our team will connect with you on WhatsApp.
What happens if my pieces don't sell?
If an item hasn't sold within 3 Months from the date of listing on “preloved Pitaras”, It will be automatically applying a 20% discount to attract more attention. If it still hasn't sold after 2 Month, it may be marked down to 50% off for a period of 1 month.
If the item remains unsold after our full [6-Month] cycle, you can choose to have it returned to you or donated to charity.
Can I get my unsold pieces back earlier?
Early returns are not available. Due to operational requirements-including inspection, listing, marketing, and sales processes that may already be underway- items can only be returned after the completion of the 6-month consignment period.
If the product does not meet the required condition standards after inspection, what is the next step?
If the product does not pass inspection, the seller will be informed and requested to pay the required courier charges so the product can be sent back.
Where can I see sale updates and how can I receive my payouts?
Seller can see updates on the sale of their pieces through their Seller Panel under “My Account”. If any payouts are due to seller, seller can see that in “My Payouts”. From there, seller can initiate request to transfer their payouts to their provided bank account.

How do I donate my gently used clothing, footwear and fashion accessories?
Donating to Preloved Pitaras is simple and thoughtful. Start by selecting clothes, accessories, or festive wear that are gently used, well-maintained, and in good wearable condition. These pieces should be something you’d proudly pass on to someone else.
Once shortlisted by you, connect with us via DM, E-mail, or our website. Our team will guide you through the next steps. After confirmation, you can courier the pieces to us or opt for a pickup (where available). Each item then goes through a quality check to ensure it meets Preloved Pitaras’ standards of cleanliness and condition. Approved pieces are professionally curated, styled, photographed, and listed on our platform—giving them a beautiful second life while helping conscious fashion thrive.
Your preloved pieces don’t just leave your wardrobe—they find a new story, a new owner, and a new purpose.
How will donor charity proceeds be used?
Every amount donated through this initiative is directed with complete care and responsibility towards supporting underprivileged children suffering from critical illnesses. The proceeds are used to help cover essential medical expenses, including hospital treatments, surgeries, life-saving medications, diagnostic tests, and post-treatment care that many families cannot afford on their own.
We work closely with verified hospitals, doctors, and trusted NGOs to ensure that the funds reach genuine cases where immediate medical intervention is required. Wherever possible, donations are directly utilised for treatment costs rather than administrative expenses, ensuring maximum impact.
Beyond treatment, a portion of the funds may also support recovery needs such as nutrition, follow-up consultations, and basic care essentials—helping children heal with dignity and hope.
Every contribution, big or small, becomes a step towards saving a life, restoring health, and giving a child a chance at a healthier future.
How are charity product prices decided by the Preloved Pitaras team?
At Preloved Pitaras, charity product pricing is decided with a balance of fair value, accessibility, and maximum impact. Our team carefully evaluates each donated item based on its condition, brand, quality, usability, and current market relevance.
Since these products are meant to support a charitable cause, prices are kept reasonable and attractive, ensuring quicker sales while still generating meaningful proceeds for underprivileged children’s critical illness treatment.
Our primary intention is not profit, but to ensure that every product finds a home and contributes effectively towards the cause. All pricing decisions are taken solely by the Preloved Pitaras team to maintain uniformity, transparency, and trust.
